Creating that big decluttering your mind strategy might feel too confusing. And whilst this isn’t just a trend for human beings to swallow and exchange the old for new pretty items (spend money), I think many people see it that way.
It meant nothing but a word to me, but since I “minimised my kid’s toys” last year, decluttering has become a huge part of our lives.
The hours he spent playing with his minimalist set of toys, instead of having a bunch of random toy sets, has raised from 5 minutes to 1 hour and a half!
Imagine what decluttering your mind would send your way!

But you can have NONE OF THEM until you let go of stuff that kills your vibes.
Start decluttering your mind.
Thinking big doesn’t always have to be dreaming of fast cars and a big house. Perhaps, your biggest dream now is to finally be able to move out of your parents’ house. Or get the perfect job. Lose weight. Learn a new skill.
So, decluttering your mind basically stands for throwing the garbage from the most important area of you, out!
Whichever path you’re walking today, you got to declutter your mind and eliminate anything that doesn’t seem to help you succeed!

– Self-reflect. –
It’s of high importance to name the garbage.
Self-reflection has by far helped me get into each role with my best energy. I couldn’t figure out how to be better at anything until I reflected on my thoughts and actions.
The point is to not reflect on good stuff only or bad stuff only.
The point is to see which way you’ll have to go that’ll lead you to finish each project and calm down after any meltdown.
I would never suggest you rush the process, but learn from everything instead.
– Prioritise (but, really, do it). –
On top of my prioritised list, apart from son and husband and the rest of the family, there’s too much. Not that I’m a complicated person, but I just have hobbies and work to do.
There are the kid’s activities and routines to go by, there’s this blog and the business behind it, yoga and music (I’d love to learn more songs on guitar and write more songs too), 5 healthy meals during the day, all of the housework.
You’d say I don’t have much time to relax and give love. Especially those of you that blog full time and know how much of hard work we have to come up with every day. And you’re right, I really don’t have much time to RELAX.
But I do everything, from parenting to blogging (and hobbies in between) with love. Writing also relaxes me 90%, so I do consider myself a lucky person for doing what I love.
To keep myself on track of all the obligations, I had to learn how to prioritise. It’s one of my latest lessons. First, the TOP 3. Then all the rest.
During the working hours lately, no matter how much the mess around, I always stood close to focus on the most important. It usually is writing and all the other additional blogging tasks, designing pins, editing photos or managing my social media accounts.
– Quit being a worrier. –
Err, you’re a human, you have the full right of doing so! It’s one of the “components” which basically make us humans. And, ok, worry a bit, but only a bit.
Like I said, go ahead and worry over things, but don’t make such a big deal out of it. You’re not going anywhere with that mind and if I have to be honest with you, you’re not being unique.
I get it, you were probably growing up thinking that way. Or whichever reason you might have, I bet is strong. But now, seriously, let go of it. Or you’ll throw away hours which should have been productive and exchange them for being boring.
– Be decisive instead. –
Unless you’re an introvert. Introverts can’t ever get decisive over things when standing beside a bunch of extroverts. And being an introvert is cool, so you just use your charm here.
Nope. I don’t think so.
I don’t like where society’s going over people being introverted. As cool as you might think you are, you’re losing it by acting strange.
Nobody says you’ll need to show your dance moves in front of the whole club. But actually showing that you own a brain too would do. You have the full responsibility for your life and you don’t have to listen to anyone.
Go with your spark, whether it be choosing a place when you’re out with your friends or a colour palette for your business. Of course, you’ll have to make compromises but go with the flow as much as possible.
– Slow down a bit. –
Each day brings joy if you know where to dig for it. Those nights you’ll spend working late are ok having from time to time. But once your mornings start screaming with headaches, it’s probably your body screaming for recovery.
You’ll have to be responsible after all and slow your roll after you deserve it. Appreciate yourself and connect with your inner energy if you want to be able to get back to the routine once again.

I have always been the type to overthink and I swear it is not the best mindset to possess, but one thing I notice is that I haven’t been overthinking a lot this year. I love this blog post. I am going to bookmark it. I feel inspired.

Oh my gosh-I am definitely a minimalist at heart. I’ve decluttered the kids toys so many times! We have 4 kiddos and somehow it just keeps accumulating. It’s a work in progress! I’ve found that getting organized with the clothing has really helped the amount of work I have around the house!

This is pretty helpful. But you know what? I have one scary thought. Though I have been running around for a while, I am scared that I might stay in my inertial position if I slow down. I might remain slow throughout!
