Life doesn’t get easier when you buy too much of the kitchen gadgets. In fact, it gets a lot harder. Especially when the cooking area gets too messy that you cannot function properly! Finding the right pan lasts too long and everything rains on your nerves! Ouch.
Must have kitchen gadgets
As a 25-year-old first time mom, I found out that the best kitchen rule is – the less, the better. To keep her sanity, a mom must learn how to embrace minimalism. While I always strived for it, I never really accepted the simplicity until now. I used to either declutter the whole room but keep “the things I was emotionally attached to” or throw everything away but fill it with stuff again by the end of the month.
Not anymore. Even though my mom has a store where she sells all the lovely kitchen gadgets, I am pretty precise in choosing them very carefully. Just to keep the life slide smoothly and my sanity on track. When I embraced the less, the better rule, the kitchen hours shortened and the cooking area got a lot safer, which is abnormally important when little children are around. And they are around almost every time.
Slow-cooker
It’s hard to stay focused on your lunch when a three-year-old wants to be involved and you literally play with fire. And it’s great when they want to help, but sometimes, warm meals get complicated and entertaining the little mind at the same time is just too much. I was like “no way this can cook my food alone, I’m sure I must watch over and stir from time to time” when we first got the slow-cooker. One day, I needed to leave the city for a blogging meetup so I thought I’d give it a try. I prepared the lunch and let it cook on low the whole night, so my guys could enjoy a nutritious meal tomorrow. This thing seriously spears me so much trouble and time!
Nutribullet
Nutribullet is to blame for my kid’s good taste for healthy food! We made his first meals (purees) using this same Nutribullet and we still adore it! Smoothies are one of the best healthy alternatives snacks on the go. They can even replace the breakfast when you’re super late, just be sure to use the right ingredients, especially the proteins. We usually go for breakfast using these ingredients: banana, honey, PB, chia seeds, flax seeds, spinach and almond milk.
Potato peeler
THE RIGHT potato peeler is one of the cheapest kitchen gadgets of all time, but it’s so needed! Saves my life. Saves my fingers. Saves my nails. And it definitely saves me time. Of course, I’m super clumsy. Otherwise, I’d still be trying to build my basketball career.
Dishwasher machine
We neglected the need for this super robot for so many years! The positive parenting approach, blogging, healthy life, education, cleaning… So many on my mind, so little time to make it all happen. Seriously, there are days (so many days) both my husband and I simply cannot get up and wash the dishes right after lunch. So they sit there and make a mess, annoy us and soon, we can’t even pour a glass of water. It’s so easy to put the dirty ones in the dishwasher, no matter whether it’s about to work at that moment or not. Also, did you know that using the dishwasher spears electricity, water and detergents?!
Bread pan
As you might have already figured it out, my family and I are on a mission to live this life as healthier as possible. You might have also spotted or read that we never buy white bread. We also barely buy any bread. Our appetites vary from the protein fitness bread to the paleo one and I usually bake them.
Water heater
I’ve loved it for my teas and instant coffees ever since I was a high school student. Now I love it even more. Believe it or not, my little one enjoys a cup of herbal and sugar-free tea when we drink our green tea. The water heater prepares teas in 2 minutes.
Pizza Maker
A family could totally go on and survive without the pizza maker. But I’m not a pizza master. My pizza dough is sticky and def not the perfect shape! When we got married, we got a pizza maker as a present from my aunt. During the pregnancy, I was constantly craving pizza (even though I was never a fan) so my husband really got side to side with it! Probably one of the best kitchen gadgets for the easier preparation of birthdays and any other parties too!
Any kitchen gadgets on your mind that you think I might add to the must-have kitchen gadgets list?

I love my Nutri-bullet. So useful. I’m very picky about which kitchen gadgets I buy too as it’s easy to end up with piles of stuff in the cupboard. I’ve got an all-metal potato peeler which is excellent – I’ve broken so many in the past but this one has lasted for ages.

I’m planning to get a Nutri bullet soon as I find other normal blenders don’t work as well as a Nutri Bullet. I cannot imagine working in the kitchen without a potato peeler.
