I’ve learned the hard way it’s about time for that “you’ll have to reset your life for good” state. For the last 6 years of my life, I’ve had to deal with lots of emotional loss and brain attacks. But I also found out, for the first time, a life partner that supports my decisions and takes good care of the love I share with him. No matter how much the world may seem scary sometimes, I know it’ll eventually feel right because I have him and our amazing child.
We found the kind of love that makes you want to grow up, work on yourself and for yourself, in each other. And while we were writing our fairytale, we haven’t forgotten to care about the rest of the world too. But the rest of the world (close friends and some family members) stopped caring for us. Some of them even threw rocks at us.
Reset your life before bad energy takes over the place.
Negative energy from the people we cared for was new to us, we thought. But was it new indeed? That was when we both realised those people were hurting us even back then. My husband was the first one to ditch the “negativities” from his life, whilst I continued to silently suffer. Just until six months ago when I felt so sick of coming home from a “girls night out” feeling completely miserable.
Not all of us have those social problems. Some have miserable jobs or partners, too much clutter in life, money problems, haven’t found out who they are, etc. It’s usually hard to see the bigger picture from where we stand, especially if the smaller picture we’re currently living, feels ugly.
Despite what some would say (like, don’t take too many risks because you never know…), for things to change, YOU have to act. There is no magical force that makes things better. Well, ok… There may be something, it’s called the Law of Attraction, but either way, you’ll have to make it work for you. Coming out of the chaos I’ve been living for so long, these are the proven strategies to reset your life for good.
1 Don’t do what’s not for you.
You don’t need to follow trends when they don’t bring you peace and joy. Most of those super trendy influencers are suggesting that we make all of our resolutions for the full year by the end of December. They would suggest to not start with a healthy lifestyle on Monday but Sunday. Of course, it’s about time we start journaling each day and step outside of our comfort zone once and for all.
Mostly, people would try and follow the trends because the influencer’s life sounds amazing. But hey, they may not be what they seem to be. Their house is probably not always clean and there are days their main fashion item is a bloated stomach. And it’s fine they don’t show you those sides of their life, because they want to inspire you to be the greatest self.
Seek inspiration, but don’t be just an ordinary follower. Because starting a healthy lifestyle on Sunday may not motivate you enough. And planning a month instead of a full year may be overwhelming for you.
2 Take responsibility of things that matter.
Um, this list is actually way too big in my life. However, not focusing on those areas that can’t make me happy and satisfy me in any way, makes space to focus on what matters. I haven’t yet learned how to fully have responsibility in my life. Except for when it comes to my son.
But given the fact it’s a learning process and I still have to walk many miles, I’m proud of myself for having the strength to realise it. Since having a child, I have so little time for myself. Therefore, I need to choose between THIS and THAT, hobby 1 or hobby 2. What would benefit me more: which hobby attracts more smile on my face, can secure my future and can educate me.
You know what they say, old ways won’t open new doors. Ignore something lousy or something ordinary, something that is simply OK for something bigger, richer and fulfilling. Whatever takes away the happy energy from you, let it go. What doesn’t bring an avalanche of pleasure, change it for something stronger.
3 Reset your life taking baby steps.
It drains too much of energy when we try to force anything. I’m guilty of staying awake late at night, just because there’s things I missed finishing that day. TBH, I’m procastrinating more than I’m DOING when I should be resting. Because I’m too tired.
I’ve also created a downloadable and fillable self-improvement guide. Download through the picture below!
4 Invest in yourself.
Sadly, I’ve met many people who said “I wish I spent more money on education while I was younger”. “I wish I spent more time writing, making music, nourishing my hobbies”. First of all, it’s easier to study with a younger brain that has no too much life obligation. Second, spending more time doing a hobby usually leads to living a dream life, where you love your job.
Anyways, it’s never too late for anything and I wish more people sees the truth. Whatever you’re good at doing and it satisfies your perception of life, go for it, learn the skills, trust it, enjoy the process. Investigate how you can be the best and do anything that’s in your power to be that person.
5 Start a different motivating method.
Maybe, waking up at 5 AM doesn’t feel so inspiring for you and takes away too much from you. The point is to find what makes you motivated, whether it’s a clean working space and minimalist decor, or a moment for yourself first thing in the morning.
Some would enjoy a coffee and a book, others prefer TV. It’s not a lifestyle cheating when you relax watching a movie first thing in the morning. It’s your way to prepare for the busy day and you have the right to do so. Do whatever motivates you to act braver, smarter, happier.

First of all I want to say awesome blog! I had a quick question which I’d like to ask if you do not
mind. I was interested to know how you center
yourself and clear your head before writing. I have had a difficult time clearing my
thoughts in getting my ideas out there. I
truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes
tend to be lost simply just trying to figure out how to
begin. Any ideas or hints? Cheers!
